Ananas workshop on Permaculture
June 4 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm UTC+5.5
Ananas is an ecological landscape design firm that aims to design self-sustaining ecosystems. We design whole-systems for human habitats that harvests water and grow forests in places like the Urban commons like lakes/parks, large and small private and collective farms, apartment complexes and schools and other industrial institutions. Through knowledge sharing we wish to empower people with the information they need to steward these closed-loop systems and communities.
Learning Outcomes: This workshop goes into a brief introduction to permaculture and explores its ethics and principles in the form of a group activity. These principles can be applied for regenerative thinking across all aspects of life. There will also be discussions about what permaculture means in our urban context, while exploring some action steps we can take as an individual or at a community level that would contribute to climate action. And lastly there will be a garden walk talking about the evolution of this food forest, and an exchange of resources across Bangalore to get started and learn more about the topics discussed.
